- Brother Anthony Mimiaga was accused of sexually abusing a female minor child on at least 50 occasions from approximately 1974 until approximately 1979 when the girl was approximately seven to twelve years of age. The sexual abuse took place in Brother Mimiaga’s bedroom at Mater Dolorosa Retreat Center in Sierra Madre, CA and in the hills behind Mater Dolorosa Retreat Center in Sierra Madre, CA.
- The sexual abuse by Brother Mimiaga consisted of the following: Brother Mimiaga would expose his erect penis to the girl; Brother Mimiaga would masturbate himself in front of the girl; Brother Mimiaga would fondle the girl’s vagina over her clothes; Brother Mimiaga would fondle the girl’s vagina skin on skin; Brother Mimiaga would ejaculate into the girl’s mouth; Brother Mimiaga would vaginally penetrate the girl with his penis; and Brother Mimiaga would make the girl engage in bestiality.
- The claim settled in 2025 in the mid seven figures. The claim also included separate sexual abuse by Brother Joseph Stadtfeld, C.P. during the same time period.
