His work was referred to in books such as The Boston Globe’s investigative staff's book Betrayal: The Crisis in the Catholic Church, Jimmy Breslin’s The Church That Forgot Christ, and Timothy D. Lytton’s Holding Bishops Accountable. Mitchell Garabedian has been interviewed by the print, electronic, and video media nationally and internationally hundreds of times throughout his career. Mitchell Garabedian was also portrayed by actor Ted Danson in the movie Our Fathers, which highlighted Mitchell Garabedian’s historic struggle with Father John J. Geoghan and Cardinal Bernard Law, as well as their employers, the Archdiocese of Boston and the Catholic Church. In his book, The Church that Forgot Christ, Jimmy Breslin described Mitchell Garabedian as a fighter. Mitchell Garabedian continues to zealously advocate for the victims and survivors of sexual abuse by teachers, coaches, priests, scout leaders, neighbors, relatives, or other adults who abused their trust or authority.
