- Father Adolphe T. Renkiewicz was accused of sexually abusing a male minor child on at least 100 occasions from approximately 1985 when the boy was approximately ten years old until approximately 1990 when the boy was approximately fifteen years old. During the sexual abuse, Father Renkiewicz was assigned to St. Adalbert’s Church in Enfield, CT, and the boy belonged to the parish. The sexual abuse took place inside the office of the rectory, in Father Renkiewicz's bedroom of the rectory, in the sacristy and basement of St. Adalbert's Church, and in the gym of St. Adalbert's school.
- The sexual abuse by Father Renkiewicz included the following: Father Renkiewicz fondling the boy’s penis and testicles, both over the clothes and skin on skin; Father Renkiewicz having the boy fondle Father Renkiewicz’s penis and testicles, both over the clothes and skin on skin; Father Renkiewicz performing oral sex on the boy; Father Renkiewicz having the boy perform oral sex on Father Renkiewicz; and Father Renkiewicz sodomizing the boy.
- The claim settled in 2025 for $2.4 million.
