- Father Albert A. Sylvia was accused of sexually abusing a male minor child on at least 25 occasions from approximately 1974 when the boy was approximately 12 years old until approximately 1976 when the boy was approximately 14 years old. The sexual abuse occurred in the downstairs of St. Joseph’s Church in Lynn, Massachusetts, in the rectory of St. Joseph’s Church, and in the gymnasium of St. Joseph’s School. During the sexual abuse, Father Sylvia was assigned to or affiliated with St. Joseph’s Church in Lynn, Massachusetts and the boy was a parishioner at the church.
- The sexual abuse by Father Sylvia consisted of Father Sylvia having the boy perform oral sex on Father Sylvia and Father Sylvia performing oral sex on the male minor child.
