- At least one individual has come forward with allegations of sexual abuse against Father William M. Sullivan, also known as Father Liam Sullivan, Father William M. Sullivan, S.D.B. (Salesians of Don Bosco). Upon information and belief, Father Sullivan was a priest in the Archdiocese of Boston for thirty-six years and a member of the Salesians of Don Bosco from 1982 to 1990.
- Father Sullivan was accused of sexually abusing a male minor child on multiple occasions in approximately 1999, during his assignment to St. Catherine Church in Westwood, MA. At the time of the sexual abuse, the victim, an altar boy at the church, was approximately eight years of age. The sexual abuse occurred at St. Catherine’s Church in Westford, MA, and at the boy’s home in Westford, MA.
- The sexual abuse by Father Sullivan consisted of the following: Father Sullivan fondling the boy’s penis and testicles, skin-on-skin.
- The claim settled in 2025 in the low six figures.
