Mitchell Garabedian Participates in Catholic Debate
The Oxford Union, the world’s largest and most famous debating society, sponsored a Catholic Debate Event on February 28, 2019.
Debate Proposition: The Catholic Church Can Never Pay For Its Sins:
The Catholic Church has overseen decades of physical violence, neglect, and sexual abuse. As the institution struggles to atone for this record, its efforts have included the funding of health, housing and counselling for survivors. But given the gravity of its abuses, can any measures ever be enough?
Mitchell Garabedian participated with Elizabeth Coppin and Thomas Reilly in debating for the proposition. Marci Hamilton and Jay Feierman debated against the proposition. Mitchell Garabedian's debate presentation is linked below; the other presentations are also available on YouTube.
