• Father O’Driscoll died in 1994.
• Father Denis O’Driscoll, S.M.A., was accused of sexually abusing a male minor child on at least three occasions from approximately 1979 to 1980 when the male child was approximately eight to nine years old. At the time of the sexual abuse, Father O’Driscoll was assigned to St. Paul’s Church in Hingham, Massachusetts, and the male child was a parishioner at the church and a student at St. Paul’s School, the parochial school affiliated with the church. The sexual abuse by Father O’Driscoll took place inside St. Paul’s School.
• The sexual abuse by Father O’Driscoll included the following: Father O’Driscoll fondled the boy’s genitals and buttocks, skin-on-skin. Father O’Driscoll also pressed Father O’Driscoll’s crotch against the boy’s back, over their clothing.
• The claim settled in April 2020 in the mid five figures.
