Summary:
  • Brother Donald Richard, F.M.S. was accused of repeatedly sexually abusing a female minor child from approximately 1983 when the child was approximately 14 years old until approximately 1986 when the child was approximately 17 years old. At the time of the sexual abuse, Brother Donald Richard was assigned to Roselle Catholic High School, Roselle, NJ, where he worked as a counselor. The sexual abuse occurred in Brother Donald Richard’s office at Roselle Catholic High School.
  • The sexual abuse by Brother Donald Richard included the following: Brother Donald Richard pulling the female child onto his lap; Brother Donald Richard hugging her tightly against his body and Brother Donald Richard rubbing body against hers; and Brother Donald Richard rubbing her genitals through her underwear.
  • The claim settled in 2025 in the low six figures.
