Summary:
  • Father McKeone is not indexed after the 2009 Official Catholic Directory.
  • Father William McKeone was accused of sexually abusing a male minor child on at least thirty occasions from approximately 1975 to 1976 when the male child was approximately thirteen to fourteen years old. At the time of the sexual abuse, Father McKeone was assigned to St. Denis Church in Manasquan, New Jersey, and the male child was a parishioner and an altar boy at the church. The sexual abuse took place in the sacristy of St. Denis Church and, on one occasion, at a house in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
  • The sexual abuse by Father McKeone included the following: Father McKeone repeatedly hugged the boy from behind such that the boy could feel Father McKeone’s erect penis rubbing against the boy’s buttocks over their clothing. On the one occasion in Philadelphia, Father McKeone sodomized the boy.
  • The claim settled in December 2019 in the low six figures.
