  • Father Edward Richard was accused of sexually abusing a male as a minor child on at least two occasions in approximately 1987 when the male child was approximately seventeen years old. At the time of the sexual abuse, Father Richard was assigned to St. John Neumann Church in Merrimack, New Hampshire. The sexual abuse took place in the rectory near St. John Neumann Church.
  • The sexual abuse by Father Richard included the following: Father Richard fondled the boy’s penis and testicles, on one occasion over the boy’s pants and on one occasion skin-on-skin.

  • Father Thomas A. Riley was accused of sexually abusing a female as a minor child on over thirty occasions from approximately 1959 to 1962 when the girl was approximately 12 to 15 years old. During the period of sexual abuse, Father Riley was assigned to St. Patrick’s Church in Natick, Massachusetts, and the girl was a parishioner at the church.
  • The sexual abuse by Father Riley occurred in locations including the rectory affiliated with St. Patrick’s Church; Father Riley’s car; and a house in New Hampshire. The sexual abuse included Father Riley fondling the girl’s breasts, skin-on-skin, and Father Riley forcing the girl to have sexual intercourse with Father Riley.
  • The claim settled in 2020 in the high five figures.
