The sexual abuse took place in the sacristy inside St. Joseph’s Church and inside St. Joseph’s School.
  • The sexual abuse by Monsignor Heide included the following: Monsignor Heide smacked the boy’s bare buttocks with a paddle; Monsignor Heide fondled the boy’s genitals, skin-on-skin; and Monsignor Heide sodomized the boy.
  • The claim settled in February 2020 in the low six figures.
