Summary:
  • Father Roger R. Leblanc was accused of sexually abusing a male minor child on at least twenty-five occasions from approximately 1972 when the boy was approximately eleven years old until approximately 1973 when the boy was approximately twelve. At the time of the sexual abuse, Father Leblanc was assigned to St. Anthony of Padua’s Church in Shirley, Massachusetts, and the male child attended church services at St. Anthony of Padua’s Church. The sexual abuse took place inside the boy’s home.
  • The sexual abuse by Father Leblanc included the following: Father Leblanc fondling the boy’s penis and testicles skin on skin and Father Leblanc would masturbate in front of the boy.
  • The claim settled in June 2023 in the high five figures.

The boy’s family did not attend St. Barnabas Church, but they came to know Father Llanos as a family friend.
  • The sexual abuse by Father Llanos took place near the boy’s family home in Long Beach and included the following: Father Llanos fondled the boy’s penis and testicles, skin-on-skin, and Father Llanos performed oral sex on the boy.

Summary:
  • According to the Grand Jury report, Father Luzzi was placed on “sick leave” in 1994, and his priestly faculties were removed in 1995.
  • Father Salvatore Luzzi was accused of sexually abusing a male on at least six occasions from approximately 1978 to 1979 when the male was approximately eighteen to nineteen years old. At the time of the sexual abuse, Father Luzzi was assigned to St. Mark’s Seminary in Erie, Pennsylvania, and the male was a student at the seminary. Father Luzzi served as the male’s spiritual director. The sexual abuse took place in Father Luzzi’s residence on the campus of the seminary.
  • The sexual abuse by Father Luzzi included the following: Father Luzzi fondled the male’s genitals, skin-on-skin, and kissed the male on his face and lips.
  • The claim settled in November 2019 in the low six figures.
